Lecturer Receives Excellence Award from Cisco Academy

Todd Phelps, a lecturer in computer science, was recently recognized for professional development opportunities, attention to student needs, and student performance by the Cisco Academy Recognition Program. The Instructor Excellence Award is given to the top 10 percent of instructors in the program worldwide.

More than 9,500 schools, including Dalton State, use the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum to enhance academic and career development programs. The Academy curriculum is recognized by employers worldwide in preparing students for entry level jobs in IT.

Each year Dalton State students compete in the Cisco NetRiders program. It provides students with hands-on practice and experience. It gives them a chance to test their skills and recognize their weaknesses.

Congratulations to Phelps for this year's involvement and recognition in the Cisco Academy.
